High hold with zero weight. Only gel does both.
Everything about straight hair →Hair types
Not every head takes the same product. Find your type, then the wax or gel that actually holds on it, and what to keep away from.
Two things decide it
Product weight has to match hair density.
- Light oil
- Goes into the strand and adds shine without dragging. Fine and curly hair.
- Heavy butter
- Sits on top and seals moisture in. Coarse and thick hair, and it flattens fine.
The format decides the finish, not just the formula.
- Gel
- Highest hold, wet finish. It sets hard and there’s no restyling.
- Wax
- Medium-high hold, natural finish. Texture you can rework all day.
It’s why one product suits one man and ruins the next, and why this isn’t a matter of taste.
The seven cases
A flexible wax with a natural finish. It shapes the wave instead of flattening it.
Everything about wavy hair →A light oil that goes into the strand — moisture without dropping the curl.
The curl cream and the curl foam are still in production. The wax defines curl, but it isn’t the product built for it.
Everything about curly hair →A heavy butter that seals moisture into a coarse strand.
The leave-in is still in production. What we sell seals in the moisture your hair already has. It doesn’t add any.
Everything about coily / afro hair →A matte clay — volume, without the shine or the weight.
The clay wax is made but it isn’t on the shop yet, so the jar above is the closest we sell rather than the one built for you.
Everything about fine & thin hair →The strongest hold you have. The one density that can carry it.
Everything about thick & coarse hair →Black that knocks the grey back as it holds. Not a dye.
Everything about white & grey hair →The five formats, and what each does
What every format on the shelf actually does, and which of them you can buy here today.
| Format | Hold | Shine | Strong for | Avoid on | We make it? |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gel | Very high | High shine | Structured styles, sharp side parts, curl definition | Anyone wanting a natural look — it sets hard, no restyling | 19 gels |
| Wax | Medium–high | Natural | Short to medium hair, texture, defining coarse hair | Long hair — it sags under its own weight | 11 waxes |
| Clay | High | Matte | Fine or thin hair that needs volume, and the choppy crop | Very curly or coily hair — too drying | Coming to the shop |
| Cream | Light | Low | The most forgiving format, works across every type | Anyone needing real structure | 6 cream gels |
| Pomade | Medium–high | No shine | Medium to thick hair, slick-backs and side parts | Thin or fine hair — too heavy | Coming to the shop |
In production now
These are in production now and land soon. None of them is on the shop yet, so the picks above are the best answer we have today.
- A leave-in, the one that goes on wet hair and stays there. It makes more difference to coily and coarse hair than anything else we could add.
- A curl cream, for moisture and definition at the same time, without flattening the curl.
- A curl foam, for volume and definition on curly hair without the weight.
- Styling creams: the lightest hold in the line, for daily use and for anyone still working out what suits them.
